Okay, okay, deep breath, wow. My SEVEN-MONTH labor of love, Confessions of an American Lolita, is ready to be read!!!

Confessions is the story of Emily, an American Lolita, as she finds her place in the online Lolita community, PGL. The comic was solely produced by Lilly, for the Savannah College of Art and Design's Shojo Phonebook Anthology, which will be published in May 2008.


Arc 1 is 21 pages long, and hosted on the Confessions website.

I just stumbled across this via the GaiaOnline Lolita thread. I'm not even a Lolita [although I'm super, amazingly jealous of all of you] but I REALLY LOVED reading it! Thank you for making it! It's absolutely lovely!

[Hey--I posted this as a comment in egl, but it was screened because I wasn't a member, but I wanted to make sure you saw it!]

I actually have no idea about Lolita, as I don't dress it and I found your comic through another link, but I wanted to throw my two cents in, anyway! [hope you don't mind!]

I think your art is just fine. Infact, I quite liked it, BUT I think there is some confusion in the flow and direction of reading [It almost seems like your jumping between Western left to right and Japanese]. There are also some spelling errors (actually, maybe only one) that you may or may not want to fix.

I am excited to see where you go with this! I assume this comic is a bit biographical, no? Anyway, I bookmarked your site! So I hope you update with the next arc soon!
